Historic Property in a Dangerous State of Disrepair Plagues its Surrounding Community
As a result of poor maintenance and unlawful home renovations, this beautiful American Craftsman style home fell into significant disrepair. Broken, littered with trash, and the exterior space housing illegal trailers, the home was a sore point within its quiet, charming neighborhood.

The Health and Safety Receivership Remedy is a Road to Nuisance Property Rehabilitation
In the months prior to our appointment, a shooting had occurred at the property and the owner was in and out of jail, amplifying the health and safety code violations at the property. Municipal health and safety code enforcement officials repeatedly red-tagged the property, finding it unsafe for habitation due to comprised structural integrity, hazardous and unlawful home modifications, a lack of electricity, heating, and running water. Despite this, the owner repeatedly broke into and continued to occupy the property.
CRG's Construction Team Turn this Property Around
Under receivership, CRG was able to be on-site immediately following the order of a superior court judge to clean and secure the property. We then worked with the court to determine a rehabilitation plan, which included working with a construction crew to completely rehabilitate this property. We managed their work to abate the perilous conditions on-site and breathe new life into this historic home. Once that work was complete and the municipality’s inspectors signed off on the removal of all code violations, the court approved a sale of the property to a new owner vetted by CRG.
