This property fell into complete disrepair and became dangerous for occupants and neighbors.

Pest infestations and structural damage were only a few of the issues onsite.

Nuisance Property Before Nuisance Property After

Between the high towers of hoarded items, pest problems, major structural issues, and a gas leak, this property had certainly deteriorated to unlivable conditions.

It was surprising to find out that this home was still being lived in, despite its many hazards. Years of neglect left the home in disrepair with the structure being held together simply by duct tape and a truck jack.

The municipality petitioned the Superior Court to appoint Mark Adams and California Receivership Group as the health and safety receiver. Once appointed, we got to work cleaning and rehabilitating this property. After our initial inspection, we deemed the house uninhabitable and we worked with a local social worker and family members to relocate the residents to an assisted living facility to receive the proper care that they needed.

A look inside the interior of the property before the receivership remedy occurred. Hoarding caused the property to lose structural integrity that was attempted to be held together by duct tape.

Creating A New And Welcoming Home

With the receivership remedy in place, C.R.G. was able to clean up and rebuild the property into a beautiful single-family home. The property was sold to an owner who proved that they were capable of maintaining the home and the remaining sale proceeds were given to the original owners for their ongoing care.

Through health and safety receivership, this property was given a second chance to provide a home for its new owners as well as helping to create a better environment for the neighborhood.
